New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship Visa

Some family members of New Zealand citizens who live in Australia (or who are travelling to Australia) can apply for a New Zealand citizen family relationship visa. Eligible family members include spouses, de facto partners, and dependent children of the New Zealand citizen.

New Zealand citizen family relationship visas are temporary visas which are valid for up to 5 years. However, existing NZ citizen family relationship visa holders can apply for further visas to stay in Australia with their New Zealand citizen family member. In some circumstances, current or former NZ citizen family relationship visa holders who are no longer a member of the family unit of the New Zealand citizen can also apply for a further NZ citizen family relationship visa.
