Our principal migration agent

Our principal registered migration agent Svenja Greer is registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority to give Australian immigration assistance. Prior to establishing Adelaide Migration Agents, she was the principal migration agent for Gold Coast migration agency Australia Direct Visas and Migration.

She comes from a legal background and has chosen to work as a registered migration agent instead of as an immigration lawyer. She has a bachelor of laws degree, a bachelor of arts degree and a graduate diploma in legal practice. She has been admitted as a lawyer by the Supreme Court of Queensland and is on the register of legal practitioners of the High Court of Australia.

Her areas of special interest include:

  • Partner and prospective marriage visa applications
  • Complex-eligibility resident return visa applications and helping former permanent residents to regain their permanent residency
  • Procedural fairness and public interest criteria 4020 “fraud criteria” cases

Why choose us?

Australia’s migration laws are complex and ever-changing. There are over 80 visa types which all have very specific and different criteria.

If a visa application does not comply with the legal criteria, it will be refused and the visa application charge will not be refunded. There are also restrictions on making further visa applications after a visa application has been refused.

By choosing Adelaide Migration Agents, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing that your visa application has been prepared by a registered migration agent to ensure that it meets all legal criteria and has the best chance of success. (Please note that the decision about whether to approve or refuse a visa application is made by the Department of Home Affairs).

Visa applications must include supporting documents that prove that the visa applicant complies with all legal criteria. Providing the correct supporting documents can be the difference between a visa application that is approved and a visa application that is refused.

Our migration agent will work with you to gather all necessary supporting documents and our migration agent will assist with drafting any additional documents such as statutory declarations that are needed.

For some complex visa applications from people in unusual, compassionate or compelling circumstances, the Department of Home Affairs has discretionary powers which allow them to approve an application that might otherwise be refused.

Our migration agent will identify whether any such compassionate or compelling circumstances might apply to your case. If so, our migration agent will submit a detailed written submission with your visa application that addresses the relevant migration laws and visa assessment criteria and advocates the merits of your case.

Our values

Honesty

We will always be frank and honest about your chances of gaining a visa. We believe that it is important to identify as soon as possible if you do not meet the visa criteria, so that you are not charged unnecessary fees.

Whenever possible our phone lines and emails are answered by a registered migration agent and not administrative staff. If you are definitely not eligible for a visa, our migration agent will explain this during your first contact with us. We will not schedule consultations and charge you unnecessary consultation fees if your case has no chance of success.

We will ask you general information about your case before scheduling a consultation, so that our migration agent will be fully prepared to discuss your case during your first consultation so that you are not charged fees for unnecessary consultations or “research”.

Integrity

Our agency does not receive commissions for referrals. Many migration agents are paid lucrative fees for referring migrants to visa-related service providers such as business consultants, training providers and insurance and finance companies. We believe that this is unethical and ultimately disadvantages migrants.

It is our policy to use the services of the most qualified service providers and negotiate the best possible rates for you that do not include any commissions for us.

Client focus

We will fully explain all of your visa options and work with you to select the best option for you.

Most visa applications take many months or years. We lodge professional, thorough and well-documented visa applications to ensure that your visa application is processed as quickly as possible. Our migration agent will keep you fully informed about the progress of your application and will always be available to answer any questions you have.

If you choose Adelaide Migration Agents, it is our promise to you that we will do everything that we can to get a successful outcome for you, no matter how complicated your situation is.
